Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel Spotted Kissing in NYC Bar Years Before Scandal Photos Surfaced
Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel were reportedly “all over each other” during a night out at a quiet New York City bar — nearly six years before they were recently seen holding hands and embracing at an Arizona resort.
According to newly surfaced photos obtained by Page Six, the New England Patriots head coach and the NFL reporter were seen together inside Tribeca Tavern in the early hours of March 11, 2020.

The pair sat closely while chatting at the bar, with images appearing to show them sharing a kiss at one point.
“They were kissing and clearly very into each other,” an eyewitness claimed. “He even had his wedding ring on.”

At the time, Vrabel was married to his wife, Jen, while Russini would go on to marry Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt just six months later. Both now have two children with their respective partners.

The source added that the two remained “very close” throughout the night, describing how Russini’s legs were positioned between Vrabel’s as they sat together.

The insider revealed that the outing took place around midnight at the low-key bar, where they stayed for at least an hour without drawing attention.

“They seemed to be having a great time, exchanging constant pecks,” the eyewitness said. “It was quiet, and no one appeared to recognize them — not even the staff.”
At the time of the meetup, Vrabel was serving as head coach of the Tennessee Titans, while Russini was working as an NFL reporter for ESPN.
Interestingly, Russini had posted a photo from ESPN’s New York studio just hours earlier, playfully captioning it, “A blonde. A brunette. And a redhead walk into a bar…”

Page Six reached out to both Vrabel and Russini for comment. While neither responded directly, Vrabel later revealed he would miss Day 3 of the NFL Draft to begin counseling.
In a statement, he explained his decision, saying he wants to become the best version of himself for his family, team, and organization.
“This is something I’ve thought deeply about,” Vrabel said. “I believe seeking counseling will help me grow as a husband, father, and coach.”
The New England Patriots also released a statement supporting his decision, emphasizing their respect for his commitment to personal growth and family.
These newly revealed photos come years before more recent images showed Vrabel and Russini together at the Ambiente resort in Sedona, Arizona, where they were seen holding hands, hugging, and spending time together.
Reports indicated the two shared breakfast, relaxed by the pool, and later spent time in a private hot tub area. They were also seen on a secluded rooftop reserved for guests staying in luxury bungalows.
Despite eyewitness accounts suggesting they were alone together, both Vrabel and Russini maintained that they were part of a larger group during the trip.
Vrabel previously dismissed any speculation, calling the interaction “completely innocent,” while Russini stated that journalists often meet sources outside formal settings.
Following the release of the Arizona photos, Russini stepped down from her role at The Athletic, despite initially receiving support from the company.
In her resignation statement, she expressed frustration over what she described as growing speculation and media scrutiny.
“I stand by my work and professionalism,” she wrote, adding that she chose to step aside rather than allow the situation to define her career.
Meanwhile, Vrabel addressed the situation publicly, acknowledging he had difficult but constructive conversations with his family, team, and organization.
“We have to make good decisions both on and off the field,” he said. “That responsibility starts with me.”
The situation continues to generate widespread discussion as the Athletic’s internal review remains ongoing.
